Your materials are already here.

Perfumed Pages Nose Training puts 40+ people through the curriculum every six months. Your raw materials are part of what they learn — this is how to support a program that actually teaches them.

§ 01 · The Opportunity

Your R&D is already in the curriculum.

Brand-agnostic by design. The whole program treats raw materials as the subject — naturals and synthetics, sourced from Perfumer's Apprentice — and your lab's work is already in the curriculum. If you're a shop rather than a lab, the same holds: these are the materials behind everything on your shelves.

Perfumed Pages Nose Training is a six-month cohort (September 2026 through February 2027, with an optional closing session in March) where people systematically learn to smell 24 raw fragrance materials live — four a month, drawn from the 40-material Perfumer's Apprentice kit and archive they keep. They come in knowing almost nothing. They leave able to identify Hedione in a blind test, to say what Iso E Super actually does, to describe what they're smelling in words that mean something. We don't endorse products, rank houses, or tell anyone what to buy.

Every material we teach came from a lab. Galaxolide from IFF. Hedione from Firmenich. Vertofix from IFF. We teach their history, their chemistry, how perfumers use them. Your R&D is already in the room. The question is whether you want to fund the people learning it.

24 Materials taught live, from a 40-material kit
13 Live sessions (12 teaching + March closer)
280+ Structured exercises

§ 02 · The Audience

Who you're actually funding.

This program doesn't attract casual hobbyists. It attracts the people who become the next layer of the field.

The cohort reads IFRA amendments for pleasure. They show up to write about fragrance with knowledge, to formulate their own work, to bring scent into rooms it wasn't in before. They are not waiting to be told what to want.

They don't stop at the cohort. They launch brands, host salons, write the books and the columns, and make the art that brings new people into the room. What they learn about your molecules shows up in all of it.

A population that understands materials at a molecular level is very hard to upsell, and almost impossible to ignore.

You're not reaching consumers — which is why this page isn't addressed only to ingredient houses. Retailers, independent stockists, and brands who sell to exactly these people have as much reason to fund a seat as the labs do — arguably more, since they meet this cohort across a counter. Our first supporter is a shop.

§ 03 · What you get

Seats funded, and a room that knows your materials.

Your house is named in the supporters section of this page, which stays up; named at the first session in front of the full cohort; and credited across the program's promotional social channels during the cohort. The people who receive your seats are told which house funded them, with nothing asked of them in return. Your perfumers have an open door to the guest lecture schedule. And every dollar puts someone in a seat who couldn't otherwise pay for one — funding seats is the whole product.

The thing that outlasts the credit line is the cohort itself: forty-odd writers, perfumers and educators who can smell your molecule and say what it does. That advocacy is worth something precisely because we don't sell it — your mark stays off the material pages, and the teaching stays independent. A graduate's word about your materials carries because nobody bought it.

§ 04 · How it works

You fund access. People get in.

Sponsorship money goes straight into a scholarship pool. That pool funds full seats — tuition plus the Perfumer's Apprentice materials kit — for people who can't afford the program. We size the partnership in conversation; the package is built around what makes sense for your house.

  1. You commit to a sponsorship. We work out the package together — scale, visibility, payment cadence — based on what fits your house. The full commitment goes into the scholarship pool.
  2. We pick who gets in. Arabelle reviews applications. She looks for financial need, genuine engagement, and people who'll actually finish. No input from sponsors — keeps the process honest.
  3. They participate exactly like everyone else. Scholarship recipients get the full thing: all 13 sessions, 40 material pages, 280+ exercises, the Discord, the recordings. No separate track. No "scholarship student" label.
  4. Your brand gets public credit. We list you in the supporters section below, name you at the first session, and credit you across the program's promotional social channels. Recipients are told which house funded their seat. The exact phrasing: "[Brand] is supporting olfactory education by funding scholarship seats for Nose Training 2026." Straightforward. No marketing speak.
§ 05 · Supporters

Stéle

Stéle

Independent fragrance retailer · Nolita & Williamsburg, New York

Stéle is supporting olfactory education by funding scholarship seats for Nose Training 2026.

Stéle describes itself as an independent fragrance store curating artisanal and independent houses from around the world, with shops at 179 Mott Street in Nolita and 339 Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg. Their seats are full seats: tuition plus the Perfumer's Apprentice materials kit, for people who could not otherwise be in the room.

How the credit works.

Supporters are named here, at the first session, and across the program's promotional social channels. Applications are read by Arabelle alone. Recipients are told which house funded their seat and owe nothing back for it — no thank-you, no post, no disclosure. Sponsors are not told who received a seat.

§ 06 · Guest lectures

Perfumers in the curriculum.

Each month, we bring in perfumers who actually work with that month's materials. Not product pitches — conversations about the material itself.

A perfumer joins for 30–45 minutes and talks about the raw material, not their brand's fragrance line. Students ask real questions about formulation and what something actually smells like. If you have perfumers who work with materials we're teaching, we'd love to have them on.

Editorial selection, not paid placement.

We pick guests based on what's relevant to the month. Sponsoring doesn't buy you a lecture slot — but we actively want perfumers from houses that invest in real olfactory education, so the door is open.

§ 07 · Sponsorship

No fixed tiers. Every partnership is sized to the house.

Brands come to this with different scales, different goals, different reasons. The right package is the one built for your house — not pulled off a tier sheet. Start with an email.

What's useful to share when you reach out:

We come back with a proposed package: number of seats funded, where your name appears, whether a guest lecture from your perfumers fits the curriculum, payment cadence. Everything funds seats. The rest is logistics.

One thing that's always true.

Every dollar of sponsorship funds a full scholarship seat — tuition plus the Perfumer's Apprentice materials kit — for someone who couldn't otherwise be in the room. That's the only thing we don't negotiate.

The people waiting are real and already named: students add themselves to the scholarship waitlist before any seat exists. Seats are very limited. Every partnership makes that list shorter.

About Arabelle Sicardi.

Arabelle Sicardi writes about beauty and fragrance. She wrote House of Beauty and writes the Scentiments column for Harper's Bazaar.

Perfumed Pages started as a newsletter and became an education program; the 2025 cohort was the first. The 2026 edition covers 24 materials live, drawn from a 40-material archive participants keep, with more synthetic chemistry, the history of fragrance across cultures, and how perfumers actually use these materials. The program runs through Beauty is Power LLC.
